Živilė Bardzilauskaitė-Bergins



Živilė Bardzilauskaitė-Bergins – born in 1956. In 1982, she graduated from the Vilnius Art Institute (now Vilnius Academy of Arts). Since 1987, she has held nearly 30 solo exhibitions in Lithuania, Latvia, Greece, and has participated in international competitive exhibitions in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, the USA, Poland, China, Croatia, the United Kingdom, Greece, Spain, Italy, and other countries.

The artist has received numerous awards, including the III degree "Santaka" badge in 2009, an encouragement prize at the "2nd China Kaolin Grand Prix for International Ceramic Art" in 2013, a diploma for innovative expression in ceramic art at the 3rd Vilnius Biennial in 2014, the Silver Plague "Zelina 19" prize in Zagreb in 2019, and an award for creative achievements in painting at the exhibition "Rebirth" in Kaunas in 2020, among others.

Since 1995, she has been a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Association, and from 2005 to 2018, she chaired the ceramics section of the LDS Kaunas branch. She is also the organizer of the "Reduction" symposium and the contemporary Baltic ceramics exhibitions "Spring."
