Jovita Laurušaitė



Jovita Laurušaitė – born in 1956 in Vilnius, Lithuania. In 1979, she graduated with a degree in ceramics from the Lithuanian State Institute of Art. From 1979 to 1997, she worked at the Vilnius Art Combine.

Jovita creates unique figurative vessels, primarily vases and pots in the shape of women. Her work is characterized by interpretations of ancient cultures, expressive forms, and decorations with reliefs and vibrant underglaze paintings. She has been participating in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad (including Estonia, Latvia, Finland, the United Kingdom, and the USA) since 1980, and in international ceramics symposiums since 1995.

Laurušaitė has held solo exhibitions in Vilnius, Juodkrantė, Kėdainiai, Finland, and Australia. Her works are part of the collection of the Lithuanian National Museum of Art and various private collections.
